Thank You, Doctor! Supports Not Dead Yet UK’s Campaign to Defend the Dignity of the Most Vulnerable

Thank You, Doctor! is proud to support the campaign led by Not Dead Yet UK, a British organization of people with disabilities dedicated to defending the dignity and rights of the most vulnerable in the ongoing debate on assisted suicide.

In the coming weeks, the UK Parliament is expected to vote on proposed assisted suicide legislation, with the vote scheduled for 11 September. As this important debate continues, a number of healthcare organizations, disability groups and civil society associations have stepped up their efforts to raise awareness of the need to protect those who may be in situations of particular vulnerability.

Not Dead Yet UK advocates for a society in which every person receives care, support and compassion, while emphasizing the importance of ensuring that any legislative changes fully safeguard human dignity and the rights of people with disabilities and others facing serious illness or vulnerability.

At Thank You, Doctor!, we share the conviction that healthcare must always place the person at its centre. Trust between doctors and patients, compassionate care and respect for the inherent dignity of every human being are the foundations of truly humane medicine.

We wish everyone involved in this campaign every success and reaffirm our commitment to promoting healthcare that always puts the person first.
